It was caused by a mosquito. Today, scientists have become able to deal with malaria, but, mosquitoes have thrown another challenge in their way. This challenge is about dengue or dengue fever.
Dengue spreads with the bite of an Aedes mosquito. As a person gets the virus in his blood, he starts to feel fever and situation can get critical with time. In fact, there is no vaccine that can treat dengue fever because it is caused by a virus. This viral tropical disease is surely creating a lot of troubles for people.
Dealing with it is difficult as there is no mediation, but, you can always take some steps to avoid it altogether. This can only be done by preventing mosquitoes to grow which certainly is a difficult task, but, there is no other alternative as for now. The only thing that you can do is to take some medicines to bring down the fever, but, that will not be a permanent treatment.
As far as symptoms are concerned, they are just similar to simple fever. A person may feel a little cold which will be accompanied by a severe pain which will become severe even by moving the eyes. Backache along with a severe pain in joints will also be there in the beginning. All these signs will get combined with a high fever which will also lower the blood pressure. Along with all these symptoms, the temperature will get lowered after some days which will shoot up again. This situation can really make a person to feel tired and weak.
Here, it is pertinent to mention that a person, who may be having dengue virus, should be kept in isolation. It means that there should be proper care for the person so the virus may not get transferred to mosquitoes as this can complicate the whole situation. It is better to keep the patient under mosquito netting. Also, there should be other preventive measures so the virus may never become able to spread.
So, the bottom line is that dengue can really make people to suffer a lot. It can really be life threatening and above all, there is no antibiotic to deal with it. So, there remains no choice but to keep your environment clean which will prevent the mosquitoes to grow.
For this very reason, you must make sure that there is no stagnant water in trash cans, flower pots or old tires as these are the common places where these mosquitoes can flourish. Finally, you must keep in mind that the Aedes aegypti is a mosquito that bites in the daytime, especially around sunrise and sunset. So, practice special care during these times.
You must always remember that only prevention can help you to lead a dengue free life. You will surely have to make some efforts, but, it is your responsibility to make sure that dengue doesn’t get flourished.
